This 90-minute webinar is free and open to the public. It will consist of a presentation and an opportunity to engage with the presenter. You will be invited to offer your questions and comments by text to a moderator who will then bring them into conversation with the presenter. A recording will be available after the live presentation for all registered participants.
Mary Ann Hinsdale, IHM, PhD, is associate professor emerita at Boston College. She is a member of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Monroe, Michigan. Recently, she was was honored with the Yves Congar Award for Theological Excellence from Barry University where she gave the keynote lecture, “Synodality: Pitfalls and Promises.” Her areas of specialization are ecclesiology, Christology, theological anthropology, and feminist theologies. Her current research centers on multidisciplinary approaches to Catholic Studies, the use of participatory action research in theological reflection on the U.S. Catholic experience, and Mary Magdalene as a resource for women’s ecclesial leadership. She is a former president of the Catholic Theological Society of America and author of the book Women Shaping Theology and co-editor of T & T Clark Handbook to Theological Anthropology.
